Season schedule
The schedule for the 1972 season is unknown. The Observer did not report on women's interhall football games until the championship of 1974. However, WIFL almost certainly occurred during this period, albeit in a more informal manner than would come to be established. In 1974, the Observer claimed that Walsh was the defending interhall champion for the past two seasons, indicating that they had won the interhall title in 1972 and 1973.
In 1972, Badin and Walsh became the first two undergraduate residences for women on campus. If interhall football games were played in 1972, it was between these two teams.
